Sometimes, taking the back is proving difficulty, particularly if your opponent is faster or more flexible than you. Here’s a way to force your opponent from Turtle into side control.

As you see in Picture one, Daniel is in Turtle Position and I have the harness (seatbelt) position.

This photo suggests one of two things Either Andy is getting too good or Daniel is slipping.
Personally I think Andy’s getting too good.
We experimented with intense, 1 minute rounds today.
The aim being that it better prepares you for competition over the usual 4 minute rounds in the off season and 5 during the season. Here’s an example of Kevin and Conor going at it, you can see it’s at a far faster pace than normal rounds.
