Before last week’s competition we posted a video interview with Conor. John Kavanagh contacted me regarding this tonight. While we recorded and posted the video in jest we failed to foresee that this would cause offense to viewers.

I’m truly sorry for any damage and offence I’ve caused and I apologise unreservedly. This was goofy humour gone wrong. I immediately called Owen after getting off the phone with John and we haved discussed the matter.

For the record I’m a massive fan of Owen Roddy as a coach and a person. Owen made the effort to come out to Clever Little Monkeys to see how I coached before starting his own classes. Such dedication and commitment to developing himself as a coach deserves to be recognised. Owen has taught me some great tips and techniques for coaching children and I thank him for it.

Without John, I wouldn’t be a coach at all. John invested a considerable amount of time and energy in my development and continues to advise me on coaching. It was also thanks to John we managed to find a coach for UCD MMA when I was unable to carry on this year.
