Hey guys,
The new timetable will come into effect next Monday;
Monday – 7-8pm Fundamentals
This is an intro course for beginners to start their training in MMA. The advantage to you is that I don’t have to slow down the class for them, and you can train harder for longer in your classes. If you know anyone who’s interested in starting but maybe a littler reluctant because they’re unsure of their fitness, don’t think they’re good enough or whatever, please let them know about this.
Monday 8-9pm Submission Wrestling
Like your normal sub wrestling class now but run at a higher pace. Quick warm up, drill some technique, then spar. At the end, we’ll finish with some gunditioning!
Tuesday – 7-8pm MMA Sparring
The same great MMA Sparring class, focusing on working on our weakness when a competition isn’t coming up, and comp prep when a fight is looming. You must complete the Fundamentals course to partake in this class.
Wednedsay: 7-8pm Submission Wrestling
Similar format to Monday 8-9pm.
Wednesday: 8-9pm Clinch
Because fights are won and lost in the clinch, we’re starting a dedicated clinch class. This will be short, and tough, but very rewarding in terms of developing your clinch game.
Thursday: 7-8pm Fundamentals/Submission Wrestling
The Fundamentals class will run on the mats, but we should have space for people who want to get in extra sparring.
Friday: 5-8pm Open Mat
There’s currently not a demand to run a coach-led class on Friday nights, but the gym is open if you want to use it. Simply text a few lads for the club, and arrange a bit of sparring to blow off some steam after a busy week.
Saturday: 12-1pm Dan time
Everyone could use a little Dan time. Here’s a chance to work on your weaknesses with insights from Dan. Dan has to break MMA down to a very simple level for his teens and kids class, and knows how to set up drills to accomplish goals.
