All Good Things…

So as you all know by now the time has come to call an end to Spartan MMA.

I’ve put a lot of time, effort and money into building the school and it just hasn’t gotten to where it needs to go.

I’ve learnt a lot from MMA, developed some fantastic friendships, and Spartan MMA has been a wonderful experience and has brought me a long way personally.

However, the school hasn’t progressed as much as it needs to, and I can no longer continue putting resources into something that isn’t returning the investment.

I’ve spoken to Dave Jones of Next Generation Ireland and he’s more than happy to train you guys at his place. Dylan Costigan also runs a Next Gen school in Clondalkin as well.

Our last session will be on Wednesday, March 22nd at 7pm. It’d be great if everyone who has trained with us could make it down for one last class.

Thanks to everyone who’ve trained with us during the time we’ve been open, and I wish you every success in your future MMA careers.

Hand Wraps

For those of you who are enjoying Mick’s Striking Class on Thursday, he’s suggested to me that you all invest in a pair of hand wraps.

Rather than spend an hour going over how to wrap your hands, here’s a good video. Get the wraps and practice for a bit so we don’t spend unnecessary time wrapping our hands.

While I normally never teach the bump and roll, because I think it’s instinctual and we don’t need to spend time on it, the rest of his escapes are well worth checking out.

We’ll be going over these tomorrow night. (But probably not in the Gi – Sorry Bill)
